Hello, I'm Ivana
I'm a licensed local guide, born and raised in Šibenik. I believe the best way to discover a place is through the stories of the people who call it home.
Officially certified by the Croatian Ministry of Tourism, I combine professional knowledge with personal stories and local insight. My aim is simple: for you to feel less like a visitor and more like a friend being welcomed into my hometown.
From the classroom to the cobblestones
Before becoming a full-time guide, I worked as an English teacher in a school. Years spent with children of all ages taught me something I still use on every tour: history stays with you when it is told as a story, not just a list of dates.
That is why families with young children feel just as comfortable on my walks as history-loving couples and solo travellers. I adapt the stories, the pace, and the experience to the people standing in front of me.
Every tour I lead is fully private, which means the pace is yours. There is time for questions, photos, and the spontaneous moments that often become the highlights of the day. I would rather you leave with a feeling for the city than a head full of facts you will forget by dinner.
Some of my tours explore a more recent and personal chapter of Šibenik's history. I was a child here during the Croatian Homeland War of the early 1990s. On these walks, I share not only the historical events, such as the September 1991 Battle of Šibenik, but also my own childhood memories and the stories of family members and neighbours who lived through those days. I tell these stories with care and respect for what they mean to this city.
